Administrative Assistant

What you will be doing:
- Delivering a high level of client service by responding to client inquiries in a professional and responsive manner and resolving issues whenever possible.
- Supporting the team with the review of client portfolios and preparing for client meetings.
- Entering client trades as directed and ensuring daily trades and system account entries are timely and accurate.
- Ensuring effective administration of the office by following up with clients on missing documentation, maintaining files, and working to resolve system issues.
- Assisting in idea generation and recommending ways to provide additional value to clients and increase office efficiencies.
- Facilitating client retention by building strong client-relationships.
- Preparing and analyzing reports with meticulous attention to detail.
- Prepare and post marketing initiatives to improve online web presence and community engagement (i.e. Company Website, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter)
- As requested, organize and/or attend client appreciation events, networking events, and other professional development opportunities.
What you bring to the table:
- College or University degree in commerce, business administration, communications, accounting, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in the Financial Services industry or a related industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain ahigh degree of accuracy.
- Strong written communication skills including strong proofreading, spelling and grammar.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with a variety of clients and prospects, key business partners, and government agencies.
- Experience using social media and marketing techniques in a business setting.
- Proficiency in contact management systems(CRM), Croesus, and other financial software and applications is considered an asset.
- Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course and Conduct and Practices Handbook is considered an asset.

The Growth Opportunity:
Professional development and industry licensing is available for this position. If you are not already licensed, you have the opportunity to obtain your Canadian Securities Course (CSC) licensing through Adamson Wealth Group. This license fulfills requirements to further your career as a licensed assistant, associate advisor, and investment advisor. Tuition reimbursement will be granted after successful completion. Completion of these licensing requirements also leads to increased compensation.
