Associate Investment Advisor
(Full-time or Part-time)
Location: Fonthill, Ontario (in-office position)

What you will be doing:
- Delivering a high level of client service by responding to client inquiries in a professional and responsive manner and resolving issues whenever possible.
- Supporting the team with the review and analysis of client portfolios and preparing for client meetings.
- Offering clients sound investment advice that aligns with their investment objectives.
- Identifying new business opportunities to acquire additional assets and/or increase revenue with prospective clients and existing client base.
- Working with the advisor to develop client communications and marketing pieces.
- Entering client trades as directed and ensuring daily trades and system account entries are timely and accurate.
- Assisting the team with research and product information from internal and external sources.
- Working with model portfolio selection process, Know Your Product (KYP), and other compliance initiatives.
- Assisting in idea generation and recommending ways to provide additional value to clients and increase office efficiencies.
- Facilitating client retention by building strong client-relationships.
- Adhering to regulatory policies by staying up to date with all industry rulings and policies.
- As requested, organize and/or attend investment partner meetings, client appreciation events, networking events, and other professional development opportunities.
What you bring to the table:
- Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH), and Wealth Management Essentials (WME) course.
- College or University degree in related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in the Financial Services industry or a related industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong written communication skills including strong proofreading, spelling and grammar.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with a variety of clients and prospects, key business partners, and government agencies.
- Proficiency in contact management systems(CRM), Croesus, Morningstar, and other financial software and applications is considered an asset.
- Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation is considered an asset.
